For active-duty service members, Veterans, and military families, navigating career transitions and educational opportunities can be daunting. ACT Now Education is stepping up to bridge the gap by providing a pipeline of more than 40,000 free resources dedicated to empowering the U.S. military community. With a steadfast mission to improve lives through education and career readiness, ACT Now ensures no opportunity is wasted.

Founded by Navy Lieutenant Commander Jai Salters in 2021, ACT Now has quickly become a leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting military members and their families. The organization provides a wide range of services, including certifications, employment assistance, and educational resources—all at no cost. ACT Now’s vision seeks to ensure that every member of the U.S. military community receives the benefits and assistance they are entitled to.

Some of its key initiatives include:

  • Weekly Run-Down Webinars – Two-hour weekly session offering job search strategies, networking tips, and access to free resources, guides, certifications, tutoring, and mentorship.
  • Service to Success Cohort – Four-week program focused on résumés, interviews, mentorship, training, and a final hiring fair.
  • Cert2Success – Three-week instructor-led course offering certifications (CISSP, PMP, Scrum Master, cloud security), job readiness training, and placement support in IT and cybersecurity fields.
  • MilMentor – Platform connecting military job seekers to mentors, job listings, and career tools, with features like mentor calls, one-click job apps, and exclusive events.
  • ANE Advantage – Newsletter jam-packed with resources to help you upskill, reskill and land your dream job.

Since its inception, ACT Now and its all-volunteer force have helped over 24,000 military members and their families gain access to training and employment resources. More than 200 individuals have earned master’s degrees at no cost, and over 300 certifications have been awarded through the organization’s programs.

“There shouldn’t be a need for ACT Now Education, but the reality is that people need guidance and support. I’m honored to provide that for others,” said Salters.

ACT Now Education supports all military-connected individuals—service members, Veterans, reservists, National Guard, and spouses.
