Global SOF Foundation Awards Grant to Meritorious Foundation
Expanding Opportunities for Veteran Mentorship
Through its GSOF Gives Back program, an initiative providing financial support to organizations serving SOF service members, veterans, and their families, the Global SOF Foundation (GSOF) has awarded the Meritorious Foundation an $11,813 grant to help support the Veterans, Fishing & Cigars program.
The grant will be used toward funding a 20-charter mentorship series, with charters taking place throughout the Tampa Bay region and south to Sarasota. Each charter pairs three veterans or transitioning service members with three business executives for an outdoor mentorship experience on the water. As part of GSOF’s support, we will welcome SOF transitioning veterans from MacDill Air Force Base as mentees.
