Overview
Join us for a virtual 1-mile, 5k, or open distance race to support our country’s heroes and remember our fallen soldiers.
Welcome to the Second Annual “In May We March”
The Farmer Veteran Coalition has come together to create a virtual spring activity that addresses the challenges our Veteran members and their families face on a daily basis. As we acknowledge the challenges associated with serving our Country, transitioning from the service, and navigating the various significant life events; we focus our energy and resources on those who Currently Serve, Served in the Past, Fell in Service, and to Gold Star Families.
During the entire month of May, participants can take part in a 1-mile race, 5k race, and open-distance race. Participants can complete the races on their own time and can redo their races multiple times throughout the month to challenge themselves to record a better time or distance.
Participants are free to use whichever running app they use to record their distance/time.
Top free running apps:
- Nike Run Club
- Strava
- MapMyRun
- Runkeeper
- Couch to 5k
Prizes will be given to top performers in each category! In order to be in contention for prizes, participants must submit their running performance here: https://www.tfaforms.com/5217631
*Participants are free to submit multiple runs into form.
This month-long event is a fundraiser to support FVC’s mission to serve, empower, and connect military veterans and active-duty service members with the resources, education, training, and partnerships necessary to cultivate successful careers in agriculture.
*Participants must sign a waiver when checking out.
Make sure to share your races and tag us on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #FVCInMayWeMarch.
