Dear Supporters,
This is the BIGGEST thing our Founder and Volunteer Director, Sandy Bower, and Vets Returning Home has ever done for our veterans. Sandy is personally restoring a 182 year old historic landmark in Almont, Michigan to give our heroes a place to heal from all over the country. Vets Returning Home will be leasing the back half of the property from Sandy for only $1 a year. The back half of the property will be turned into the retreat after The Mill’s building restoration is complete in October of this year 2025. We are asking for your help, because she can’t do it all on her own. Her pockets are not deep enough. Sandy will get it all done, but we will have to wait until late 2027 if we do it on our own, and our veterans need and deserve our help NOW!
This retreat will give veterans a safe and quiet place to reset. A place to sit by a fire with their brothers. A place to sleep in a treehouse, teepee, or she-shed. A place to reconnect with their purpose through licensed PTSD therapy and guided seminars. And they’ll never pay a dime for it.
