Good morning- Please post in News for WRAP: Call for Personal Stories
A new WRAP Workbook focused on WRAP for perinatal, pregnancy, and postpartum challenges is underway. We are looking for personal vignettes (try to keep them under 200 words) and welcome stories from anyone in our community who has experienced struggles such as the following:
· Perinatal or postpartum depression
· Addiction during pregnancy
· Reunification/parental rights suspended/terminated
· Health issues related to pregnancy, premature birth, or the birthing process
· A baby with health issues, disabilities, or developmental issues
· A baby with fetal alcohol syndrome or neonatal abstinence syndrome
· Sudden infant death syndrome, miscarriage, stillbirth, and other loss
· Adoption or fostering babies with challenges; caregiving for a new grandchild or family member’s baby
· Supporting a partner, child, friend, or other loved one experiencing perinatal, pregnancy, and postpartum challenges
· Having a new baby while serving in the military
· Having a new baby while experiencing life challenges, such as grief, PTSD, homelessness, incarceration, child protective services, divorce, or separation
· Single parenting a baby
· Any other issues that have caused mental or physical health issues or stressors
This is your chance to inspire, motivate, or simply share with others the ways new parents can use WRAP to help themselves or someone they love during this major life experience. It’s also an opportunity to let others know they are not alone in their struggles—that things can and will get better, and that there is always hope.
Please send your stories to books@wellnessrecoveryactionplan.com, subject line: PPP stories.
