(Detroit, MI) – August 27, 2021 – The Elizabeth Bienaime Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, in Eastpoint, will be presenting the DAR Medal of Honor to Sandy Bower, the CEO, and Founder of Vets Returning Home, in Roseville, award in recognition of her commitment and selfless service to homeless veterans and veterans in crisis.

Vets Returning Home is a nonprofit and non-government-funded organization dedicated to helping veterans transition into stable lives.

The NVBDC Military & Veteran Organization Task Force congratulates our partner, Ms. Bower on her selection to be this year’s award recipient. 

The DAR Medal of Honor is awarded to native-born U.S. citizens, who have shown extraordinary qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service, and patriotism. The recipient must have made unusual and lasting contributions to the American Heritage by giving of himself or herself to his or her community, state, country, and fellowman.

The Elizabeth Bienaime Chapter will be presenting the award on September 11, at 2 pm, at the Vets Returning Home Open House event that will run from Noon to 4 pm.  The event will be at 17955 E. 11 Mile Rd., Roseville, MI.
