Join VetBizCentral and Michigan Small Business Administration (SBA) to review and discuss the various certifications offered to Veteran Entrepreneurs and Existing Business Owners. The SBA offers several certifications programs, 8 (a) Business Development (program participants to ensure equitable access to contracting opportunities in the federal marketplace), HubZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zones gives preferential consideration to those businesses in full and open competition, Veteran/Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business VOSB &SDVOSB (will have the opportunity to pursue sole-source and set-aside contracts at the Department of Veterans Affairs under the VA’s Vets First program. Certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) will have the opportunity to compete for federal sole-source and set-aside contracts across the federal government), Women Owned Business (The Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program (WOSB Program) is to help provide a level playing field for women business owners.
