Special Honors For WWII Montford Point Marines 1942-1949 Congressional Gold Medal Recipients (2012)
You are cordially invited to attend one of America’s annual military events in honor of those who serve(d) in the Armed Forces. This year we will rally behind the WWII Marines of Montford Point as they make their indelible mark in the pages of American History as the first African-American fighting unit in the U.S. Marine Corps. We will celebrate and honor the Montford Point Marines of WWII and award the Congressional Gold Medal (Posthumously) to surviving families. The dynamic keynote speaker will be MajGen Cornell Wilson (USMC-RET). Appointed by the Secretary of Defense to serve as Director of Manpower & Reserve Affairs.
All branches of military services are represented at this affair including the United States Marinbertes, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Uniforms and dress attire only. Banquet tickets are $65 per person in advance
